Melways reference 68E1. Free public parking is provided in the Centre Car Park, with entry via the roundabout on the corner of Kambrook and Glen Eira Roads. This car park is complimentary and is accessed on a ‘first in, first served’ basis. No entry is allowed before 9:30am.
Frankston, Cranbourne and Pakenham lines depart regularly from Flinders Street to Caulfield Station, located directly opposite the racecourse. The journey from the city takes approximately 15 minutes. Additional services are provided during peak times.
Racegoers can catch a Route 3 or 3a tram and alight at Stop 56. From the city, Route 3 travels along Swanston Street and St. Kilda Road and operates weekdays only. Route 3a travels along Swanston Street, St Kilda Road and St Kilda Beach and operates weekends only. The journey takes approximately 25 minutes.
Access to Caulfield is available from Stud Park Shopping Centre, Wellington Road, Monash University (Clayton) and Chadstone Shopping Centre via SmartBus Route 900. Travel time from Stud Park is approximately 50 minutes. Route 624 buses from Kew, Auburn Station, Tooronga Station and Holmesglen Station also operate to Caulfield.
Patrons can be dropped off at the entrance gates on Station Street. At the conclusion of a race day there is a taxi rank outside the main entrance (Gate 23), or Sir John Monash Drive. To get to Sir John Monash Drive, walk from the racecourse across Normanby Road and out under the railway tunnel.
Mornington Racing Club
Melways reference 146 B3. Free public parking is provided on race days, with entry via Mornington- Tyabb Rd. Travel on M1, Eastlink, Peninsula Link or the Nepean Highway into Mornington. Travel time is just over 1 hour from Melbourne’s CBD.
Train and Bus
Frankston lines depart regularly from Flinders Street to Frankston Station. From here, bus route 785 operates on all race-days from Frankston to the racecourse. Please note, bus drops patrons 500 metres from racecourse entrance.
Patrons can be dropped off at the Main Entrance via Gate 3, 320 Racecourse Road. Upon exiting the racecourse, the taxi rank can be located at the rear of Steeples Tabaret.
Melways reference 80 D7. Free public parking is available on race days, enter via overpass on Princes Highway and turn left (if travelling from city) onto the access road. Ladbrokes Park is located on Princes Highway in Springvale, about 20kms south east of the Melbourne CBD. It will take you approximately 30 minutes, along the Monash Freeway.
Sandown Park railway station is located close to the racecourse entrance gates. Trains depart regularly from Flinders Street station on the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines. Check timetables for trains stopping at Sandown Park. The Cranbourne and Pakenham trains take approximately 40 minutes from Flinders Street to Sandown Park station.
Access to Ladbrokes Park by bus is available from Chadstone Shopping Centre. From platform bay 6, take bus route 800 towards Dandenong. Get off at stop Corrigan Road/ Princes Highway, Springvale and the racecourse is directly opposite. Travel time is around 45 minutes.
Patrons can be dropped off on Racecourse Drive, near the main gate on racedays. Upon exiting the racecourse, the taxi stand can be located outside the main gate.
