Congratulations to our 2020 Caulfield Cup Hero
We recently asked our members to nominate their Caulfield Cup Hero - a true local hero who has gone above and beyond, provided resolute support when required, and has stepped up to the plate when others needed them most during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We were humbled by the huge response we received and we thank all our members who nominated their hero as part of our Caulfield Cup Hero members initiative. The calibre of entries we received was outstanding and all very deserving of the Hero mantle and the ultimate reward - for two people to attend on Stella Artois Caulfield Cup Day and deliver the 2020 trophy ahead of the feature race.
The Club is thrilled to announce our 2020 Caulfield Cup Hero - Deborah Ward.
Congratulations to Deborah Ward who was nominated by MRC member, Tracey Fenton for her outstanding contribution as a senior Nurse Educator at the Royal Melbourne Hospital ICU. For the past eight months Deborah has provided critical care to COVID-19 patients and supported families at their most vulnerable, all while training fellow staff members to treat critically ill patients as well.
We hope you will join us in congratulating Deborah and Tracey and tune into Seven or Racing.com on Saturday 17 October to watch them both deliver the Stella Artois Caulfield Cup trophy to MRC Chairman, Peter Le Grand.
