What dress code is applicable when in the members reserve areas?
In line with the standards at the Melbourne Racing Club, a dress code policy is enforced whilst in the members reserve areas at all three racecourses. For more details on the dress code policies, please see below:
Caulfield Dress Code
Gentlemen and boys over 13 years of age are required to wear a collared shirt and tailored pants with jacket, sports coat or blazer, plus a tie, at all times. However, from the 1st December until 31st March jackets and ties are optional and short sleeved collared dress shirts may be worn. Mens shirts must be buttoned up and tucked in at all times. Tailored shorts for gentlemen are also permitted.

Examples of what is not allowed in the Members' Reserve during this period, along with those listed at the bottom of this page:
Ladies and girls over 13 years of age are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the distinction of the Members’ Reserve.
Children 13 years of age and under should be neatly dressed in keeping with the standard of dress expected from ladies and gentlemen in the Members’ Reserve. Boys must wear a collared shirt and tailored pants at all times.
ATTIRE NOT PERMITTED IN MEMBERS’ RESERVE
The following items of clothing are not permitted in the Members’ Reserve at any time: polo shirts, pullovers and cardigans (as outer wear), denim jackets, zippered waist length casual jackets, any clothing revealing bare midriff, jeans, denim shorts, cargo shorts, board shorts, torn/dilapidated shorts, running/sports shorts or long shorts, running/sports shoes, thongs or any dilapidated footwear.
