Membership Extension FAQs
Should we be able to welcome crowds back to our racecourses before December 31, your current 2019/20 membership cards will still be valid. Restrictions regarding crowd numbers and access may still apply and more information will be provided to Members as it becomes available.
If you are in a position to and would like to continue supporting the Club during these difficult times, we encourage you to pay your membership fees now with your generosity much appreciated.
You will then be paid up as a Melbourne Racing Club member until July 31, 2021.
Alternatively, you can wait until we have more clarity on when we can welcome Members back on course. We will give all Members the chance to renew at an appropriate price when we know more.
It is completely up to you if you choose to renew now or later.
For full MRC membership, we have reduced our early renewal price to $249 and those that do renew will receive 4000 Pegasus Rewards Points.
Those who choose to renew their Mornington Full Membership at $135 will receive 2000 Pegasus Rewards Points.
When we are in a position to welcome members back to our racecourses and are required to restrict numbers, we will look to prioritise those who have paid their membership in full at this early stage.
Possibly. Depending on when Members and spectators will be allowed back to our venues and what access is viable, membership fees may be at a lower price later in the year. This will be communicated clearly to all members when we know more.
Yes. Your 2019/20 membership has been extended to December 31 along with all benefits available to you, including access to discounted Super Box hampers, MRC Members’ Tipstar and other member opportunities planned for Spring Carnival.
When we have more clarity on when we can welcome Members back on course, we will communicate with you then what your renewal options will be.
We are unsure what access our Members will have over Carnival which is why we are extending Membership until December 31. We will continue to update Members as attendance directives unfold and we know more about the Government restrictions that will be in place for the Spring Carnival but are realistic that crowds are now looking unlikely.
Members who do pay the voluntary fee now to renew their membership will be given priority to attend in the event that attendance numbers are limited.
The Club is exploring all opportunities to avoid this outcome and give all our Members the best possible chance of attending the Caulfield Cup Carnival.
Annual Guest Cards and Members Car Parks can be paid for when renewing.
Please contact our Membership Department on 1300 GO RACE (46 7223) for more information.
While we are not in a position to refund membership fees, we have taken this into account by extending the current season and reducing our 2020/21 membership fees.
The MRC has been creating initiatives to replicate the experiences and benefits that Members have come to know and love from their membership, to bridge the physical gap and engage with our Members away from the track.
Given the current circumstances, we will not automatically rollover your membership as usual. When we have more information regarding attendance at our venues, we will contact you and confirm the date payments will resume, and the cost of your 2020/21 membership.
If you would prefer to continue as normal, renew now and start your payments in July, please contact the Membership department on 1300 GO RACE.
Our Membership Department is available to take renewal payments over the phone between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday on 1300 GO RACE. You can send cheque or money order payments to MRC Membership Department, PO Box 231, Caulfield East, VIC, 3145.
New membership cards will not be sent to Members until we get closer to spectators being able to return to the track. Your current card will remain valid until December 31, 2020.
Our Youth and Clip Clop Club members are an important part of our membership base. We are taking this opportunity to review these products and improve the offering for our younger members.
